CrossFit Off The Grid: A Gym for Fitness, Food and Socialization

CrossFit Off The Grid is a gym with a tight-knit group of people who love fitness, food and socializing. This is how its owner and head coach, Nick Seabock, describes it. They have a strong and stable community, along with competitive coaches, that gives constant support to each other. Nick, himself, is a CF-L2 trainer, USAW-L1 Certified, and Power Monkey Camp 6+8 Alumni.

Their gym also has a casual, fun and safe environment which makes it comfortable for anyone and everyone to perform within. All of their workout exercises are effective and accessible for everyone, whether it might be an individual who has never worked out a day in his/her life or an elite athlete who spends the majority of his/her time training.

According to Nick, one of the mistakes that they see people make when exercising is sacrificing their form to get more reps or “win” the workout. His advice is to listen to the coach and stick to the gameplan regardless of who is around.

As for the other gyms, he said that they are losing sight of what their focus is and who their target client is. While it could be easy to get pulled in different directions, they should remember to stick to the goals and objectives of their gym.

Nick proudly shares that they are one of the few CrossFit gyms that have been in operation for more than 10 years. They were founded in 2008 and have hosted many events and workouts since then. They have their Annual Levy Here WOD in March, Marc Small Hero WOD in May and Summer Jam Team Competition in June. They are also supporters of many local businesses and charities.
